Signing in & your settings
Welcome to minutes — your self-hosted, EU-friendly tool for live meeting transcription and translation. This page gets you from zero to signed in, and walks you through your personal settings.
The capture extension
The minutes capture extension is a small Chrome extension that streams the audio from a browser tab to your minutes server, where it's turned into a live transcript (and, if your account has a translation key, a live translation).
Record in the app
You don't need the browser extension — or a second device — to capture your own voice. minutes can record your microphone directly in the web app, on a computer or a phone, and turn it into a normal meeting: the same live transcript, translation, export, and sharing as everything else.
Meetings, translation & export
Once a meeting is being captured, everything happens in the minutes web app. This page walks through reading a live meeting, turning on translation, fixing or filling in individual lines, renaming a meeting, copying a transcript to your clipboard, and downloading one to keep.
Uploading audio files
Got a recording instead of a live meeting? You can upload an audio (or video) file and minutes will transcribe it just like a meeting — with the same transcript view, translation, and export options.
Sharing a transcript
Sometimes the people who need to read a meeting transcript don't have an account on your minutes server — a client, a colleague on another team, someone who just wants to skim what was said. Public share links let you hand them a read-only web page they can open in any browser, no sign-in required.
